Rekom STK, cuyo nombre real es Álvaro Obregón, nació a mediados de los años ochenta en el sur de la Ciudad de México. Entre los 11 y 12 años descubrió la cultura hip-hop, iniciando su camino a través del graffiti, la danza break y finalmente convirtiéndose en MC y DJ. Esa inmersión total en los cuatro elementos del hip-hop le dio una visión integral del movimiento que pocos artistas pueden presumir: Rekom STK no es solo un rapero, es un productor, beatmaker y creador de sonidos que ha trabajado para grupos como Rango Lirical, Doblemicrophone, Mafia Azteca y Mística Instrumental. En el año 2000, conoció a KAT ADK y juntos dieron vida al STK Crew, fundando el sello underground STK Producciones y grabando su primer tema "Amor Hacia el Dinero".

Rekom STK representa la escuela del hip-hop mexicano que creció en la calle y consolidó su arte en el trabajo constante y la producción independiente. En 2003, colaboró con Pony Equino D.P. en su primer material discográfico, "Escalón Tras Escalón", bajo el sello STK Producciones, un proyecto que marcó el arranque formal de su carrera como artista y productor. A lo largo de los años ha seguido construyendo su legado en el underground latinoamericano, produciendo para otros artistas y perfeccionando un estilo que combina la esencia del hip-hop clásico con la identidad única del rap en español. Su trayectoria es un testimonio de la riqueza y la profundidad de la escena hip-hop de México.

Rekom STK, whose real name is Álvaro Obregón, was born in the mid-1980s in southern Mexico City. Between ages 11 and 12, he discovered hip-hop culture, beginning his journey through graffiti, break dancing, and eventually becoming an MC and DJ. That total immersion in the four elements of hip-hop gave him a comprehensive vision of the movement that few artists can claim: Rekom STK is not just a rapper, he is a producer, beatmaker, and sound creator who has worked for groups such as Rango Lirical, Doblemicrophone, Mafia Azteca, and Mística Instrumental. In 2000, he met KAT ADK and together they brought the STK Crew to life, founding the underground label STK Producciones and recording their first track "Amor Hacia el Dinero."

Rekom STK represents the school of Mexican hip-hop that grew up in the streets and consolidated its art through constant work and independent production. In 2003, he collaborated with Pony Equino D.P. on his first album material, "Escalón Tras Escalón," under the STK Producciones label, a project that marked the formal start of his career as an artist and producer. Over the years he has continued building his legacy in the Latin American underground, producing for other artists and perfecting a style that combines the essence of classic hip-hop with the unique identity of Spanish-language rap.
