A1 NWG nació y se crió en Carolina, Puerto Rico (00987), y es un artista bilingüe cuyo nombre viene de su colectivo, el "New Wave Gang". Después de forjar su nombre en la escena del hip-hop local en Puerto Rico, A1 se mudó a Nueva York en 2015 para estudiar en la Universidad de Syracuse, donde conoció a Aaron P, quien se convertiría en su productor y DJ de confianza. Esa asociación creativa marcaría el rumbo de toda su carrera: en el verano de 2016, ya en California, debutaron juntos con A1 Brews, seguido de la versión remasterizada The Full Batch en la primavera de 2017. A1 lanzó el video oficial de "Gone" en enero de 2018, primer sencillo de The Sauz — su segundo EP en solitario — que incluye también "Como Si Na" y "Coral".

A1 NWG regresó a Puerto Rico a inicios de 2019, lanzando "Ella Se Fue" producida por Da' Ghost, compañero del New Wave Gang. Ese mismo año se presentó como acto de apertura para Lil' Flip y KXNG CROOKED (antes Crooked I) en Austin, Texas — una señal clara de que su alcance trasciende la isla. Cerró 2019 con su tercer proyecto en solitario, La Cava, producido por Aaron P, lanzado el 25 de diciembre. Entre sus temas más escuchados están FLORES (Remix), PIQUETE, D-MENTE y ASALTO — un catálogo que combina el rap underground boricua con la energía bilingüe de la diáspora latina en los Estados Unidos.

A1 NWG was born and raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico (00987), and is a bilingual artist whose name comes from his collective, the "New Wave Gang." After making a name for himself in the local Puerto Rico hip-hop scene, A1 moved to New York in 2015 to study at Syracuse University, where he met Aaron P, who would become his trusted producer and DJ. That creative partnership shaped the direction of his entire career: in the summer of 2016, now in California, they debuted together with A1 Brews, followed by the remastered version The Full Batch in spring 2017. A1 released the official video for "Gone" in January 2018, the first single off The Sauz — his second solo EP — which also includes "Como Si Na" and "Coral."

A1 NWG returned to Puerto Rico in early 2019, releasing "Ella Se Fue" produced by Da' Ghost, a fellow New Wave Gang member. That same year he performed as the opening act for Lil' Flip and KXNG CROOKED (formerly Crooked I) in Austin, Texas — a clear sign that his reach extends beyond the island. He closed 2019 with his third solo project, La Cava, produced by Aaron P, released on December 25th. Among his most-streamed tracks are FLORES (Remix), PIQUETE, D-MENTE and ASALTO — a catalog blending Puerto Rican underground rap with the bilingual energy of the Latino diaspora in the United States.
